The Homestead
The homestead at Sunnystones is absolutely bursting with character! It was made in the 80's from solid rock from around the area. The make of the building helps it keep cool in summer and warm in winter, so anytime of year is a great time of year to come and stay.
Rooms
There are 9 rooms at Camp Sunnystones, sleeping a total of 90 guests! Most have ensuite bathrooms, others have separate bathrooms alongside. Please see the floor plan at THIS LINK.
The Sunroom
This is a favourite place by many for the ultimate chill out time. A cuppa and mag, the sun shining in...you get the picture!!! Watching the kangaroos on the lawn is all a part of the Sunnystones experience!
Dining Hall
The dining hall can seat up to 90 guests, but is just as comfortable with a small group. Tables and chairs can be added/removed to make up the perfect setting for you and your guests. Plus, dining tables can be arranged differently (such as a horseshoe shape, straight line etc.) depending on your preference. The dining hall is also a great space for conferences and functions!
Kitchen
The kitchen houses a commercial oven/stove/fridges/freezers/automated large scale dishwasher! Plus a huge array of crockery, cutlery, baking equipment, plus all of the usuals - mirowave, toasters etc. This makes it easy for both Catered and Self-Catered groups! We understand that food is a major part of any stay, and we really enjoy making sure your needs are met, whatever they may be.
Laundry
The laundry includes a large washing machine and dryer, and can be used during your stay free of charge.
Games Room
A major part of staying at Camp Sunnystones is a bit of downtime, and we have a pool table, a ping-pong table, and an air hockey table all in a separate games area. Also, there is a fireplace in the games room keeping you warm whilst you play a lazy (or intense!) game of pool.
Fireplaces
We have three fireplaces inside, include one large spherical fireplace in the dining area. In addition to these three, there are two camp fire areas (including seating) outside ready for use year round. Everybody loves a marshmallow on the fire!
